cowboys and indians.
I am so fortunate to have friends who enjoy photography as much as I do. Taking pictures of my friends is a great way for me to practice my skills and at the same time showcase how amazing these people are! For this shoot, I took photos of my two good friends Elise and Haley in Battle Creek. The girls actually came up with the concept, and I was all for it. We drove out into the country roads and randomly stopped at a hill that looked nice. After the first location, we found another great site for the shoot, an abandoned shack. It was perfect for the vibe I was trying to send in the pictures. This was actually one of my first "themed" sessions, and I loved how I was able to have creative control of the stories that I wanted to tell in each shot. I wanted the photos to have depth in their meaning, not just look nice. Of course half of that meaning is still in my head and may never be realized by others viewing them, but it was still great to have that dynamic while shooting the photos. Enjoy! (They are in reverse order from when I shot them)

I still can't get over how amazing these photos are. I go through this album like once a week because I just can't get enough.:) And The areal shot of the road kill amazes me. It might be my favorite photo.
